INTRODUCTION
French department places great emphasis on humanistic education. While intellectual development is the core focus of our curriculum design, it is not the sole teaching objective. The principles of moral, aesthetic, and social education are also integrated into our teaching activities.

To cultivate students’ humanistic qualities, we offer elective courses that cover a wide range of fields closely related to France. These include French literary history, significant historical events in France, the history of the French language, French art and culture, and more. This ensures that during their four years in the French department, students not only build a solid foundation in the language but also gain a comprehensive understanding of French culture. Additionally, to meet students’ needs, we offer business-oriented courses such as Business French and news reading with a focus on political and economic themes.

Beyond classroom learning, to enhance students’ interest in learning French and to provide clearer career planning goals, the Student Association of French Department organizes a series of activities every academic year.
